TSCHAIKOVSKY & BALANCHINE HEAR THE DANCE: RUSSIA Night at David H Koch Theater
Today's mark the real start of the NYC Ballet Company.
Starting with TSCHAIKOVSKY & BALANCHINE
HEAR THE DANCE: RUSSIA
Serenade and Pas De Duex then there's Suite 3
it's the most fun I have ever watched in Ballet.
because when it's executed perfectly, and the male form are strong and graceful, it allows the ballerina to just glide every time there's a life involved.
Tschaikovsky is always majestic, yet brings a little of sadness in the end.
and Ballet is not just a form of dancing. it's an art form in movement that can translate any style of dances into Ballet,
Salsa, Waltz, Samba... u name it. it can be translated into Ballet.
here's a sneak peak of what I've enjoy tonight

Feature Artist: Sean Zastoupil a.k.a. Sean Fox

This month the EVOL has just got a break through. Our first official interview and feature with an artist. As an Inspiring artist for dances, acting and picture perfect. Sean Zastoupil a.k.a. Sean Fox has been in the business for almost 4 years now. Starting as an amateur dancer, Sean Fox has been showing off his talent on several dance tour and show. Generously he has been involved in several charity as well. A valid proof that you do not have to have much nor famous to have a great heart and start paying forward now. Over the past years Sean has won 4 Yahoo Teen Awards which explain him as a hit for the internet folks and several traditional media. He was nominated as the hottest male celebrity to hit the dance scene by a popular dance site.
And Here is our first feature ever. We are not exactly looking for any famous celebrated faces to start this section of the Blog. Life is an amazing journey where we’d come to meet genuinely good people who are willing to help, love and share. And Sean is one of them. And we appreciate him taking his time and share a little piece of his life with us today.
Hi Sean, It’s been a while since we have heard about you.
So you have been in the business for quite a while now. Winning several online awards, dance tour and all. So what’s next?
A: I am currently planning on 2 different Photo shoots with some VERY talented photographers! One will be this month August 08 and the other will be in November 08. I am also hoping to release a new dance video this year but time is valuable and hope that I will have time to be able to complete that if not look out for it next year! Some of my goals are to be featured in some more magazines and some artists music video's so keep on the lookout.....
When and what is it that spike your interest the first time to go into dancing and acting?
A; I started dancing in middle school ( way back in the day....) My cousin actually helped me discover my talent and told me I should pursue it to the fullest so I have..... Life Has thrown me some curve balls to be able to pursue it full time but I wouldn't do anything I have done differently.... No regrets as they say! As Far as acting is concerned I have always had a passion for it but it has not been as successful for me as my dancing.
What would be your happiest moment so far and your lowest moments?
A: My happiest moment would be me being able to do charity work and present my talents to the world. Being able to give back because I have been given so much and amazing opportunities that people only dream of.....
Lowest is just people not believing in what I can do or letting me down over and over but like I always say either Love me or Hate me but I ain't goin nowhere....
What is your thought about today’s celebrity scene? The gossip, the allege drug and DUI problems?
A: My opinion is the hype and the lifestyle are paralell and the combination between people growing up too fast and the pressure of the business is a lot for celebs.... They need some way to escape ( not that I think it is the correct way because you have celebs that don't do that. Like myself!) People just get caught up! They are afterall Human but the media puts them on this high pedastool so when they fall people go crazy and the paparazzi see it as a money making strategy because the majority look at them as being perfect. Britney Spears is a HUGE example of this but like a true artist she has bounced back and in my opinion it has made her stronger and more mature! LOVE you Britney! Her song Lucky is a prime sample for this question.
You have been involved with several charity, why is it important to have such charity like Running Home 4 Teens? Are you planning to be supportive of any other charity as well? And why is it close to your heart?
A; as I have always told people, Charity is a VERY important thing for not just celebs to do but everyone! If you are more fortunate than the next person you should always give back anyway you can! I have been given amazing opportunities in my life and have been less fortunate in my earlier stages of life but I have grown from that and learned and have an amazing support system! Some people don't even have that so the difference you can make and the impact you can give to someone always comes back to you. There is no need to be selfish because when you need someone when your down there will always be someone who has the heart to lend a hand.
I am always open to any legitimate charity foundation that has a meaningful purpose. I would eventually like to work close with a wildlife foundation to help preserve endangered speciaes such as wild cats and such.
Any suggestions for those who have dreamt about getting into the business?
A; Keep your head high and always believe in yourself, This business is full of disappointment but remember it is only one persons opinion ( just make sure it isn't the top persons opinion cause influence, money and power go along way.)
Anyone in your life and career that inspire you to get into the business?
A: Celebrity wise Britney Spears and Janet Jackson are my two biggest inspirations..... Personal wise my Family. They have always been supportive of me and my endeavors.
Whom in the business you’d like to work most at the moment?
A: I would love to work with Britney and Janet. They are such powerhouses in their field and are always reinventing themselves! Everytime they come out with new material I am NEVER disappointed or lose interest!

Happy 4th of July everyone. Yea!h let's get to the dance floor and shake your booty HAHA!
Everyone Happy 4th of July.
This have been long time coming. Actually I started MySpace with a dancer. You might not realise this from my blog. Because I’ve not figure out how to give these people justice with any comments.
If you have ever really danced before then you realise what I’m talking about.
Dancing is like talking to God with your body. You move, you are in touch with every muscle in our body. Including your toes. Yup, you might not realise it, that tight skin under your every toes and the bulk on top of it, is muscle. I have strained them at times. HAHA! You would pull muscle you never know you have when you dance.
A lot of my female friends have avoided doing any exercises because of the sweat and heat. What I really hate actually is to have my body be sweating in a sauna or a diety massages. I thought it’s not really something meaningful. Let go of yourself and let other people massages you, you have no connection at all with your own body. Which is why I like dancing.
When I tell my friend what I do behind the close door of my bachelor pad, they just laugh and think I’m so lonely and stupid to dance alone. Though I like dancing with a partner but my work place is not exactly a place hot for dances. So I dance on my own. Sometimes it’s great. Sometimes it’s sexy, sometimes It’s hip hopy, anything I like. I get a great workout. Got great muscle under that belly of mine. Yup strange when you think about it. You got great muscle but they are below some fat. HAHA! But i know that I’m much healthier than anone else so that’s ok. And you get hot and sweaty, got all the toxine out, stretch every muscle you have and twist them a bit at times, got the adrenaline all pump up, and you have a peaceful and quiet time with God where you interact with your elegant and flowy dance move.
Which makes me realise why I love watching people playing Piano and when I’m playing one. It’s like finger dancing on the keyboard and it’s elegent and every punches on the board is a note and a step and a tempo. I just love it.
So what’s a blog post without a any introduction to some of the best dancer I’ve ever seen or have the privilege to know. I do think that dancers are under-preciated nowadays. But it’s an art that’s so amazing that I feel not everyone can do it. I can dance but not like a pro.

So first up will be Nick Baga of futhermucker's roommate, Kenny Wormald. He is by far one of the best dancer I’ve ever seen. He may not wow you with every twist or jump, but he got the flow. Which I feel makes dances much more cooler than it is. Some lock, some flow and some break at places that are remarkably unexpected and if you haven’t seen him did it, you have no idea that can be done in the ways he design it. If I’m not mistaken he did choreography with Justin Timberlake. Now I think he just got off the movie Center Stage 2 as the male lead in the movie. Can’t wait to see it. With his good look I always think he could do more that dancing alone. Though we know that a true dancer soul always have their minds on dances. But i think, like J Lo, you never have to limit yourself, you can be all of it. Just do it one thing at a time and make sure you give them all your best. Kenny also have a charm to him that I think. From what I heard he is a good and natural guy to be around. Always good for business in this business, when people feel easy around you.

Second up is someone from the same studio, Blake McGrath, I believe he is one of the most requested dancer in the business. Reason is that he does all the flip, jumps and twist and turn in the sickest and craziest ways. Although sometimes I think he can get a bit over the edge. But he is one of the best you can get when you want some moves that’s totally amazing. As any dancers, unless you are a choreographer in Millenium most of them would just expand to other career move when the times comes and the opportunity arises. So McGrath has a CD out. And it’s one of the most surprising music I’ve ever thought that he can deliver. He sound great in it. Well if you are asking, he has dances with some of the most famous singer out there like Janet Jackson.

So when you got guys, of course you want to include some girls. Staci Flood is one of the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen dancing. Usually you think that dancer is lower than singer or celebrity, but they are not. They just like dance and that’s just their starting point. Everyone goes through it all. Stci too, Dances, Model, and sings. Well, who would have thought, and she does, break great moves, carry a great tone and does a stunning photo or commercial.
Well if you are thinking yes, most of the dancers you have already know. They are either in the TV shows or movies or some I know from internet.
I thought I can’t just start off with someone that no one knows. And my inspiration is not there yet either. Because these are the people that I felt comfortable to write about.
There are some great ballet dancer out there too. Which I love to watch but to talk about it’s a visual thing, Ballet you have to see they fly to feel it. So I’m gonna go with something more contemporary.

Who else? Oh Channing Tatum. Now here’s someone you think is totally cannot dance. Before this he is a pretty face with a great body. And you think wrong. He is the total triple thread. He start with modeling, then I think movie and dancing comes later. Actually If I’m not wrong, he always knows how to dance, then there’s the modelling, and what follows if what makes him so well-known know, which is acting. People love him, because he has the great southern look, handsome won’t hurt and his natural shyness is something that could capture people’s heart. I learn about him when he is a model. But I actually take notice about him when I watch Step Up. Before that some movie roles, but not exactly impressive. In the movie he just shines. Though at times the director cover his mistake in moves when he is not as good in dancing. But still, that last piece of the movie. He is the icon and no one can ever replace it. And I think he did great as a dancer

Well you can’t talk about step up without talking about Jenna Dewan, she is the pro. Take the lead have already introduce us to her, but of the same year, Step Up really just Step it up another beat and take her to a higher level. She moves great. I think probably she is not the perfect body shape for a Ballet Company, well, everyone knows that Ballet Company are very critical about every muscle shape and heights. But she look just fine as a dancer and he got some of the best move to me.

Talking about Step Up, I wonder how Robert Hoffman got his role in the sequel haha! Does the jerk on She’s the Man have to take over the lead from Channing HAHA! Not that he is less good in fact if you ask me. Robert have a better piece from the second movie than Channing. He got the look of the character just right and he moves simply smoother than Channing. It’s as fresh watching the movie as if you are watching the first.

Talking about movies. One dancer I think is as good as Fame or Flashdance is Sascha Radetsky from the first Center Stage. He have one of the most unique look. And the way he dances the ballet is wonderful. His body is the perfect shape for ballet i think. Not exactly some of the usual talk and thin kind. But the right shape in the right area and it felt masculine too. And the way he moves simply spell elegant. Love it.

While most of the people love the winner of "So you think you can dance", both Nick and Niel are great dancer. Everyone have seen how they dances. But in my mind, I see something better in Pasha Kovalev and Craig DeRosa. Pasha in my opinion moves the best, the way his body shape and when he dances it. Elegant, more like a ballet in pop. Every step spell, beauty and masculine in every shape of his body which is beautiful to look at when he dances. And Craig has the power in every moves and the way he twist and turn is as good as Blake. And he is as good looking and have almost the same body shape. In fact in most of the situation his moves is much powerful than elegant. But i guess inexperience does plays a role in a show like SYTYCD.
Well, when you talk about one dance show, you can’t forget the most watched on, which is Dancing with the stars. While a lot of people are focusing on the star, Mario Lopez, Julio. I was looking at the true star of the show. The pros.

Mark Ballas and his cousin, Derek Hough, makes the competition much more interesting to watch each time. They have danced together for ages with Hough sister, both good looking, both moves in great stature and the choreography is spotless. Well, to top it off they form a duet called Almost Amy and sings. Actually they are great to listen to.
