Harness (horse) racing could be the most exciting track racing sport i've ever heard of

Over a month ago I met this teenager online, and it’s such a pleasant thing to discover new things in life. He is a harness racing champion.
That is a sport that involves horse pulling a 2-wheeled carriage behind them. The rider sits on a small seats on the carriage, holding the harness and riding the horse.
The most exciting thing about this is, you are sitting on the back, the dust flying past you, you can feel the vibration from the wheel course through the whole race and hear the sound of the horse panting with rhythm.
I feel that to have seated behind the wheel on in this case on the wheel running on 70 miles per hour on a sand course with a fantastic horse power in front of you and your only control of the whole situation is 2 thin line you are holding. Just thinking about all the possibility and the danger and the control and at last winning can give you a thrill
Now below is the brief conversation I have with the champion. The teenager that inspire this small article.

Jonathan
so how much work is there actually to take care of a horse
?

Bobby
so much you cannot take a day off

your day starts about 7am when you feed them breakfast, wait for them to eat, then you gotta clean their stalls, train them

you should be done around 4 or 5pm thats when you feed for the night

Jonathan
how many times you gotta feed them in a day?
twice or like human 3?

Bobby
breakfast in the morning and supper at night, but during the day you might just throw them some hay to have a snack on

Jonathan
what's kinda snack do they like?
apple, carrot?

Jonathan
i suppose you have to brush them daily. do you bath them like everyday?

Bobby
yeah brush and bath everyday

Jonathan
so is it different to train a horse for ride races and harness races?

Bobby
yeah its really different

jonathan
how is it different?

Bobby
well all the gear is different. the tracks are different lengths.

Jonathan
i see. when you start you have to train them to get familiarize with carriage too?

Bobby
well the bike is called a sulky and we do that when they are 1 or 2 years old, and that process is called breaking babies and it takes alot of patience and smart decisions and gotta know what you are doing

Jonathan
the breaking. does it also include breaking them into familiarise with the rider?
you ever tame a wild horse?
that's also called breaking right?

Bobby
yup it does sometimes, its mostly to get the horse used to his or her equipment, the bike, the driver , the track and his surroundings

yes i have

and yup it is

Jonathan
is.
i c
so what about you. the rider. what kinda training to need to do?

Bobby
well as a driver we get our experience from just working with the horse knowing what to do when something happens, and take tips when older horsemen

Jonathan
every horse have different habit when they run?

Bobby
well as a driver we get our experience from just working with the horse knowing what to do when something happens, and take tips when older horsemen

Jonathan
how long is a track? and how fast exactly do you run on average?

Bobby
well as a driver we get our experience from just working with the horse knowing what to do when something happens, and take tips when older horsemen
tracks are either one mile long or a half mile when a track is a half mile you must race two laps to achive the mile

Bobby
usually about 40 mph

Jonathan
that's fast

Bobby
oh yea haha

Jonathan
pretty hard to balance when you turn
you ever topple?

Bobby
as in fall off?

Jonathan
yup

Bobby
actually no i have been lucky enough to never been in a accident

Jonathan
you ever won any race?

Bobby
yeah actually the pic in my profile there is my first race win

Jonathan
really, look really good there. nice form

Bobby
haha thank you

Jonathan
where are you now?

i mean where are you from?

The Talented Jamie Scott Exclusive interview

We first seen Jamie when he appears as a cameo in Step Up, the dance movie. And he is smoking hot with the song he performs in it. Then after close to a year we see that Jamie came out with his first album and single. And it surprises us that Jamie can go from a totally pop/Disco style and come to the soulful jazzy Park Bench Relaxing melody. Jamie Scott is the talented singer song writer that can do it all and do them well. And later this year you can grab his new album in store, check out some of his new sound at his MySpace , www.myspace.com/jamiescottandthetown

Here is our interview with the talented charming musician, Jamie Scott.

Hey Jamie. It's great to finally meet you online.

Q: Let's start with the basic Jamie. You came from U.K. and you got a jazzy soulful sound with you. How long have you been writing and working on music?

I started playing the guitar at 7 and have basically been obsessed with music ever since. I grew up with both my parents playing all different types of music which I guess must have influenced me.

Q: you start playing guitar at a very young age. Is it hard to start that early?

I think when you start anything young it makes it easier to pick things up, but I still learn new things every time I'm in the studio .

Q: A lot of us first know you when you film the movie Step Up! How is acting compare with singing?

Well acting is different from performing on stage because you don't get the opportunity to stop performing on stage if something doesn't work. So in that sense it's much more like been in the studio, it's something you can work on till it's the way you want it.

Q: when you are in the movie your sound is sexy and pop and very modern, and yet your album is totally opposite of that, it's soulful and pure and green. It gave me quite a shock really at the time. How did you decide which to sing and what style to go for?

Well initially the song in the movie was going to be a song of mine called 'Soul' but it wasn't up tempo enough. So when I met the producers they still wanted me to be in the movie but to sing a more poppy modern song which was 'Made'.

Q: will we be seeing any more of that pop, R & B sound from you or even more acting?

Well I have no plans to do any more acting but who knows if the right part was offered to me.

Q: how is live performance like compare to writing long hours in the studio?

I really enjoy both but it's always nice to be in front of people who want to hear your music, I see it as one leading to the other all the hard work in the studio leads to me been able to perform to people.

Q: who is your most influential person musically and in your life?

Donnie Hathaway has probably been the most influential person musically in my life but I think every bit of music I hear has an influence on some level. I have a really close family and they always have a influence on me.

Q: are there any artists or producers that you are looking forward to collaborating on a song?

Well I've recently collaborated with Lucie Sliva's on a song called 'Gold' which was cool, but a hero of mine is a guy called Lewis Taylor and I'd love to do something with him.

Q: so what 's next on the agenda of the Jamie Scott camp?

Well it's an exciting time with various projects in the pipeline, all I can say for now is watch this space.

Q: How did the decision of going for a music career came about?

I remember been at school in class and all I could think about was the melodies in my head that when I knew I had to take up music full time.

Q: you ever wonder if you are not a musician what else will you be?

Well I've always been into Sport so maybe a Tennis Coach or something like that. But to be Honest with you I can't imagine my life without music.

Q: any advice for those aspiring artist out there?

My only advice is to work hard and believe in yourself.

Q: before we leave, would you like to say anything here to all your fans our there? We wish you have a fantastic year ahead Jamie. Thanks for giving us the opportunity sit down and do this with you.

Just like to say a massive thank you to all my fans that have supported me. And if you want to see me perform live over the internet tune into my Myspace for updates. www.myspace.com/jamiescottandthetown

Q: Let us get on with the interview. Shall we start with the basics. Who you are, where your from?

Chicago, IL

Q: You make some pretty amazing sound with your guitar and your songs. How would you describe your music?

Post Rock and Roll/Singer Songwriter

Q: How long does it really take from learning to play guitar to writing songs with it?

I've heard of people learning three chords and immediately writing their first song. So not very long.

Q: What makes you decide to make music your career?

It was never really a choice for me, always obvious...

Q: What gives you inspiration when you write your music?

Two things. First, I like to reach out to other people, Second, I like to satisfy my own desire to express.

Exclusive with the young talented Danny Rocco

This week we have the opportunity to sit down with one of the most talented young musician I’ve ever met online, Danny Rocco. He got the style, he got the sound and he definitely got the look. And with his talent he is totally in the league to rival the Jonas Brothers HAHA! So everyone let us introduce Danny Rocco, Check out his music at http://www.myspace.com/dannyrocco

Hi Danny, thank you for doing this interview with us, we really appreciate the opportunity.
Q: now let’s kick start this engine with an intro of who you really are? And where you are from and what get you into the music scene in the first place?
---I’m from Long Island, New York, and i started [playing music at an extremely young age. I began on the violin when I was in second grade, and pretty easily progressed to guitar, and eventually vocals. I also used to book a lot of shows around the area when i was about 14 or 15, and things kinda took their own form there.
Q: your songs sound fantastic, and you have an album “The Future is Now” out now, how would you describe it?
---my latest album is a compilation of recording that i re-recorded. the earliest of which, i wrote when i was about 16. Its a very nostalgic album, and focuses a lot on my high school years and my life as a teenager.
Q: You are in a band, how is it different compare to singing solo?
---my band Show Me Action is quite different. I love both; there’s a sense of intimacy I just don’t get out of playing with my band, and there’s similarly a sense of craziness that I never get to enjoy while performing solo. It’s also quite nice to play with the band have some of the vocal pressure off for once haha.
Q: where do you get your inspiration when you are writing songs?
---inspiration is everywhere, and I never usually "get it:" it finds me.
Q: You did a couple of shows before, would there be more in the future?
---I’m 100% planning a full U.S tour for this summer.
Q: how is performing like compare to writing and singing in the studio?
---performing is the reason why you write and sing in the studio. its the chance to show everyone in person exactly what you do and how you do it.
Q: now one of the most interested questions from our reader is “Are you single?”, and what kind of girls interest you?
---yes, I am single. But I am an equal opportunity employer, so I never pin point an exact "type." haha, but great question.
Q: your songs are pretty together, how long does it take to really tune yourself into writing with all the instruments into one piece of work? Is it hard?
---never "hard," per say, but always different. some songs i can write and finish in a few hours, and others will take weeks, maybe even months to fully come together.
Q: now if anyone wish to contact you for a show, who and where should they call?
---call me, or my record label "Lobster/Oort Records." You can e-mail me at Rocky88@aol.com any time.
Q: who is you inspiration musically?
---Muse, Taking back Sunday, Brand new, Alaline trio, Avett brothers, Straylight run, Fall Out Boys, My Chemical Romance, just to name a few of very very very many.
Q: are there any artist or producer that you’d like to work with?
---would love to work with any of the bands I mentioned above.
Q: will we be expecting any new music soon or touring?
---touring for the summer, and new music is all around me every day - its just a matter of when i get around to recording it...
Q: now before we leave, would you like to say anything to all your fans out there?
---thanks for all your support, and make sure you come hang out at a show some time soon!

Thanks again for sitting down with us and answering our questions.
All the Best.

A:I've been lucky. Nothing scandolous yet. lol. I should start clubbing more to give people something to talk about. Too busy working.

Q: Will there be an album with all your own songs coming out anytime? I bet that your fan just can’t wait.

A:No release date, but working toward getting something out this year.

Q: So Drew, who is your most inspiring musician and the most influential person in your life?

A:Stevie Wonder, and my parents.

Q: when you write songs how do you get your inspiration?

A:When I'm not looking for it. I really don't know how it works, sometimes songs just wanna get written. But theres also a lot of staring at blank pages.

Q: if anyone wish to contact you for a show who and where they should contact?

A:David Levine at the William Morris Agency

Q: before we go off, would you like to say anything to your fans here?

A:I'm riding such a fun wave right now doing what I've always wanted to do, and my fans are the only reason I have this opportunity. Thank you a million times over!

Again drew, thank you for having the interview with us.

All the best and our wishes for your great success.

Landon Keller is an amazing musician and he sit down with us this week!! Exlcusive

Landon Keller is what I like to call the Quiet Artist. It has nothing to do with his music and everything to do with his charisma in his song and his on stage presence. He is those people that you know they got it but rarely proudly flash it around. You can feel and hear his talent on every performance and every song and he is as natural and close to heart as your next door neighbor. We love it. So check out his songs at www.myspace.com/landonkeller

******************************************************

Hey Landon! Congratulation on the release of Curiosity,
It’s a fantastic album

Q: So, shall we start? We have been listening to your music for over a year now and keep on wondering who you are? Please let us off our hook!
I'm from the Mid-West born and bread in Indiana, now living in Chicago. I play Folk-Rock, Acoustic, & Soul. I'm a 3rd generation musician. My father and brother play in my band. It's amazing and seems effortless. We enjoy every minute of it and never take it for granted. There is a lot of love here.

Q: you have been playing a lot of live shows. How do you feel about it compare to writing songs and recording in studio? Which you like the most?

I Love playing live, it allows you to release and to live in the moment. To interact with people in what can be described as a very spiritual way. There is an amazing energy I feel from band mates and fans when I play. I am always very aware of this energy, even if it doesn't seem like it sometimes.

Writing songs is a unique expirience as well. There's nothing like the feeling of a finished song. There are endless possibilities. It's addicting. It keeps me coming back for more.

Recording is an exciting thing. It's a group effort. It builds upon your music character and relationships. I feel like after we finished "Curiosity", we really had a sense that we had salitified ourselves as serious musicians. Now we're ready to do the follow up "Impact", and feel like all around we've aged well musically. I love it all! If I had to chose one, it would be the live show.

Q: How would you describe your music?
Elvis Costello once said, "Talking about music, is like dancing like architecture". I, like many other musicians, find it hard to describe my music in a nutshell. I like the idea of my listeners defining my music for themselves. I don't feel like it's up to me to define. A lot of my stuff has a certain amount of ambiguity to it. This allows listeners to develop their own meaning about the songs. I wouldn't want it any other way. All I could say is that my music comes from my soul.

Q: how do you really start writing all the amazing music that you write? Where do you get your inspiration from?
I open up, and let it come out. I try not to force anything. Sometimes it feels like I'm not even writing it. My inspiration comes from life the conscious and unconscious, imagination, nostalgia, nature, the cosmos, my soul.

Q: who is your most influential person in your music and life?
It's impossible for me to single out one person here. I will tell you that Dave Matthews was my gateway to a whole new world of meaningful music and Ray Lamontagne has my full and undivided attention right now. People in my life that have influenced me would have to include everyone in my immediate family. I grew up in an amazing musical family environment on a plethera of meaningful music.

Q: Are there any musician that you’d like to collaborate at the moment?
Lots. The Twin Cats, Max Allen, Jason Mraz, Ben Harper, Ryan Adams, Norah Jones, Dave Matthews, and James Taylor. The list goes on and on.

Q: is it tough when you go on tour? Or it’s just crazy with all the fellas playing around all the time? HAHA!

The road is a blast. It could get ruff if you let it, but if you stay conscious of the elements as well as other people you're traveling with it can be a lot of fun. It gets old sometimes driving so much, but you can turn it into a positive. It allows a lot of time to think and create. It's worth it.

Q: your guitar is fantastic man! How long does it take to be able to play that well?
Thanks brother. It just depends on how much you focus your full enery on it. You're not going to become good over night. Just like with anything else in life, you're going to hit walls and then, if you keep going, you'll breakdown barriers. The process repeats. At the time we recorded "Curiosity", I had been playing for 7 years. I never took lessons.

Q: Now what every woman want to know is…. Are you single? What kinda woman would interest you? HAHA!

I am not single. But things I would look for in a woman would be, independence, openness to new things, good personality, optimism, a kindness and understanding and love for the arts would def. be a bonus.

Q: if anyone wish to contact you for a show or anything, who should they call or where should they go?
landonkellermusic@gmail.com www. myspace. com/landonkeller we're also on Facebook.

Q: any show that’s coming in the near future?
We're always playing shows somewhere. We're looking to do some festivals and a lot of other things in 09'. Check our schedual on www. myspace. com/landonkeller

Q: where can we all get your album?
You can get my music from www. cdbaby. com www. itunes. com www. napster. com and a lot of other major online distributers, just search my name.

Q: Are there anything you’d like to say to all of your fans out there before we go off?

Thank you for all your continued support. This is what I love to do and you are why I love to do it. If it were not for you I wouldn't be able to do it. We're not going anywhere. We're going to continue until, no one will listen anymore. Please check out the new album "Impact" coming out in the spring, we are really looking forward to it's release.

If you liked "curiosity" we think you will love "Impact". If you didn't like "Curiosity" we think you'll love "Impact". We're going to continue to need all the support/exposure we can get! See you soon!

Cheers,
Landon Keller

Exclusive Interview With T.J. Cornwall!!!!! The Amazing Artist with a SAd soulful voice hinting a happy spirit

T.J. Cornwall the small town kid with the most sensible voice that would move your hear and burn your soul. You can just feel the heartache and the joy in a single verse. Come join the soul searching journey with this artist voice. Check out his music at www.myspace.com/tjcornwall

Q: Let’s start by telling everyone where you’re from and how long have you been creating music?

-I'm from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I attend school at Penn State where I am a senior. I've been creating music since I was about 15, but I really just started to think I understand it about three minutes ago.

Q: We love the sadness with a hint of hope in your songs. How’d you describe your music?

-The best way I can describe my music is by saying that it is completely honest and sincere. There are definitely more "sad" songs than others, but the best thing about writing music is that if I have a problem, I can just throw it in a song and lock up those feelings into a certain melody instead of stressing about it in everyday life. It's really a getaway sometimes. But I'm definitely an extremely happy person. Hopefully nobody thinks I'm depressed! Haha.

Q: I realize that most of your songs are written with Piano. How long does it take for you to actually master writing with piano? And why not guitar and other instrument?

-I don't think anybody ever masters an instrument. There are definitely plenty of people better than me at playing the piano, at singing, and at playing the guitar. You can always learn more and progress as a musician. As a songwriter, it's all opinionated. Some people might love my songwriting, some might think that it's atrocious. It's all about writing from your heart, and at the same time appealing to an audience. I think you need to be selfish with songwriting though. If I don't love a song that I write, I don't want to be lying to my listeners as I perform it and tell a story.I actually do play guitar as well. In the song "Three Wishes" and many other unreleased songs, I play the acoustic guitar. I would love to get enough money to buy an electric, but I am a poor college student and a poor musician so that will have to wait for now.

Q: before this you are in a band named Cloverleaf, how is it different from your music now as an solo artist?

-Cloverleaf was the best thing that could ever happen to me. They taught me to be modest, yet confident. Garrett taught me everything I need to know about being a musician on the business side of things. Ted taught me to never wear shorts on stage and makes me want to buy 500 electric guitars. Jon taught me to challenge myself with writing and to never settle for what I have written. We had some amazing times as a band, became best friends, and we really learned something about ourselves while being in a band.Being a solo artist changes so much, but at the same time, it's the same game. There are so many pros and cons to it that I've seen already. I have to change my whole entire live show and figure out a way to engage the audience when it's only me on stage. It's not necessarily a bad thing at all, I just need to get used to it. One of the pros is that I am way more honest with my music. I learned not to care about what people think about me and what I have to say. I'm going to say it anyway and people can listen to it if they want to. Cloverleaf was a rock band that engaged a crowd by our stage energy. I am a singer-songwriter who engages the crowd by my voice, my lyrics, and to be as raw as possible.

Q: Where do you get all your inspiration for your songs?

- Plain and simple - my life experiences. I write about what I feel and hope they sound good in a song. There's no other way I can really explain that differently. When people ask me "What's wrong?" or "What makes you happy?", I'd rather write a song about it than to explain it to them.

Q: anyone in your life that you’d say that lead you to this part of your life as an artist and musician?

-Absolutely. I blame my parents for forcing me to take piano lessons when I was 7 years old. All I wanted to do was to play sports and to play video games with my friends. I actually used to fake sick all the time when I had lessons. I hated them more than anything and quit after 2 years of lessons because I broke my hand while playing football. Now, I thank them more than anything for putting me through those grueling lessons.I also thank anyone that has ever given me a terrible or great life experience. It's nice to take your feelings out on a piano or a guitar.

Q: are there any singer or songwriter out there that you’d love to work with at this moment?

-Absolutely. John Mayer. Hands down. Best songwriter of our generation and one of the best guitar players of our generation.I'd also love to spend a couple days with Alanis Morissette. I feel like I need to apologize to her every time I listen to her songs. I feel like I did something wrong. Sorry, Alanis!Q: Will we be anticipating any tour or show from you soon?-Yes. I'm working on some regional shows on the weekends. It's really hard for me to go anywhere since I'm stuck at school. After I graduate in May, I will be following my dreams and touring consistently. So definitely look out for me.

Q: how is the writing for the new album coming along?

-It's going really well. I am trying to challenge myself constantly when writing a new song. I don't want to write the same song twice and am starting to incorporate a little blues into a current song I've been working on. However, I have no idea when I'll have a chance to record a new album. It all depends on finances, hard work, great songs, and a little luck perhaps.

Q: if there’s anyone that wishes to contact you for a show. Who and where should the go to?

- I do all of my own booking. Contact me through email: cornwall.tj@gmail.com

Q: Musician and artist usually takes odd jobs before they are successful, you ever did that?

- I'm definitely nowhere near successful right now, but I'm getting my college degree from a great university as a safety net. I also worked as a pizza driver for a few years. The tips were great, but I'd much rather be on stage.

Q: What’s it’s like playing live show compare to writing music in the studio?

- A live show is definitely an ego booster or an ego buster. It's the best feeling when people come up and talk to me after the show, take pictures with me, and buy my merchandise. It really means the world to me, and I will never be able to express that enough in words. I might have to do an interpretive dance to get my point across. Being in the studio captures and enhances everything that I write. It's an amazing feeling going into the studio having a product and coming out with a totally different idea. It's like getting a really really really good haircut. Yes? No?

Q: now before we leave, would you like to say anything to your fans out there?

-You all mean the world to me. Just remember that I could never do this without you and your support. Thank you so much for buying my stuff but most importantly taking something from my music and staying connected to me.

Thanks so much to you too, Jonathan!

J:Thank you! The pleasure is all mine.

Jason Soudah is a Pianist that did it all before he is 30!!! What's nezt for this bright star only God knows!!!!

Jason is a world traveler, globe hugger and one of the most amazing piano player I’ve ever heard of. It’s been a really great pleasure to finally got into the interview with this great musician. It’s beautiful how simple music can touch the deepest of our heart, yank out all the hidden emotion we never show and release ourselves to the universe and be free. Jason did just that and it’s marvelous.

Here’s my conversation with this fabulous artist.

Hey Jason. How's life in Wales? We hope and everything is great and Happy New Year.

Q: Let us begin by introducing yourself to the world. Who you are, where you are from?

A: I am Jason Soudah. I was born to an Irish mother and Cypriot father in Tokyo, Japan and spent many years living there, some in Hong Kong, some in London, England, some in Cardiff, Wales, some in Bahrain, some in Luxembourg, and I'm sure I've forgotten some places. I'm thankful for all these experiences living in different places, and I love travelling.

Q: We know that that your life started from Japan, tell us something about that. Does it bring any influence to you musically?

A: I definitely think it had an influence being in Japan, mainly on me as a person. I especially appreciate how people show each other so much respect when interacting so politely.

Q: We love your music obviously, How would you describe it?

A: Piano-driven alternative rock.

Q: Who would you say is your inspiration in your life and musically?

A: I have a very strong desire to help other people, and I am often told I have a healing nature. I feel this was enhanced by meeting Mother Theresa when I was a young boy.

Q: How do you get your inspiration in writing such complex music? Do they just comes naturally or should I say fly off the keyboard when you play the piano?

A: I think a lot of my inspiration for the piano comes from classical music, and a love of excitement. The best songs seem to flow naturally.

Q: Your songs are really piano oriented, how long have you been playing piano. Have you ever one time think that you'd be a professional classical piano player or do you know straight away that you'd like to be a more contemporary pop musician?

A: I started playing the piano when I was 4, learning classical pieces, but when I was about 7 I started writing my own pop/rock songs and that's when I decided I wanted to be a singer/songwriter.

Q: Well, we heard that you are supposed to be getting a doctorate academically (or have you actually got the doctorate degree) before you decide to get into the whole music career. How did you actually come to that decision and how is the experience of the transition?

A: I was always encouraged by my parents to keep up with academic school in parallel with music. While I was doing BSc Psychology at University, we had to do a very important project, which normally takes a year. It was the Monday before the deadline and I had not even started...I ended up with second-highest grade in my class! So then I was asked to do a Doctorate. I started it but then had to withdraw because my music career was taking off.

Q: It's been a long way from doing commercial, to composing music for TV (not to say the least for Japanese series), to playing on stage. All the experiences are so different. Does it help to enrich your music and you life?

A: Absolutely - It was especially cool to do the music for the Japanese TV series, as I just played the piano to what I saw on the screen, it all came very naturally, and the producers loved it. I will do more composing for films in the future. Then there is performing live...that is magical.

Q: Which part of the music making you like? Producing and composing for shows and series? Singing solo on stage or writing and singing your own songs on records?

A: I like the way music can take so many forms, so I enjoy all the experiences it brings.

Q: Now the ultimate question that every woman in the world would want to know. Are you single? What do you like in a woman?

A: I'm single, and my ideal partner has to love carrot cake as much as me!

Jon: HAHAHA!!! Nice!

Q: if anyone wish to contact you for any shows or performance, who and how would they contact you?

A: email jsoudahmusic@gmail.com or check out www.myspace.com/jasonsoudah

Q: Now are there anything you'd like to say to all our readers out there before we leave?

A: Read "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho - it is a very inspiring and uplifting story about making your dreams a reality.

Jon: We love your music Jason, and we wish for all the success to you. Thanks again for doing this with us

Jon: All the Best

Exclusive interview with Tatiana!!!! Our first female artist feature!!! NY country Pop, undefiable force!!!

Tatiana is the country girl that gone to NY to pursue a dream. And she has really found one. Recording her first album now she is ready to shine. The instinctive country sound with a blend of artsy jazz and smooth rockin pop. You can’t categorize it. But it’s damn good to listen to. Is she a country girl? Is she a metropolitan diva? Is she a nice chick with the beat? You’ll have to listen close and choose your own poison. I personally love it all. Which is why she is the first female artist we feature on our page. you can check out more of her music on www.myspace.com/tatianamorozmusic

Q: How's your holiday? Having a great New Year? Let's begin with letting everyone know a little bit about yourself.

It's so nice to be here, thanks for having me! I am having a fabulous new year so far. For the past few years, I've been working in NY, trying to formulate what my sound is going to be like, my plans for the future; it’s been a long road. I am really excited about my upcoming record, which I have been working on for over 2 years. When I started, I never thought it would take this long, but I know everything is coming out how it’s supposed to. By the end of it, I am finally letting go (sort of) and just letting it fall into place naturally. Don't get me wrong, it has been a stressful labor of love, and that push was necessary. Now that I am wrapping up though, it’s a great relief, but its also a little sad. It feels like I am coming full circle, and giving birth to a child that is way too big to carry alone. But I'll miss the little bugger when he's out in the world.
J: Well said Tatiana! Just let it flow!
Q: We know that your album will be out pretty soon. What's the album really about?

The record is about me, my experiences, and the way I deal with my issues. Sometimes it’s not exactly me that's singing the song, it’s a version of me going through something that morphs into art. Like a story about someone else, or what I imagine them to be like, but that has part of me in it too. It's a way to say things I can't say, or be things I can't be. But that truth is always there. Which is kind of what it’s all about anyway. It’s my attempt at creating a connection, an emotion or experience that people can relate to and get comfort from. It's my way of justifying any pain or misery I have to go through to make me who I am. Knowing that I can write something that will allow someone to realize they are not alone, I love that.

Q: Where did you get all the inspiration to write all the great music? Did you write all of them yourself? Who did you collaborate when you write your music?

It was inspired by my own love experiences, but also life experiences. Yeah, some songs are about a guy, but a lot are about being my own cheerleader and motivating myself and the listener. Like, "Don't Stop Believing" is a pretty obvious message ; ) or "Won't Let Me Down" is about me relying on myself to lift me up. "They'll Never Change" is a reminder that despite those expectations you may think someone should live up to, it just doesn't always work out like that. Getting upset about it every time is pointless, so it’s a reminder that there are certain things I have no control over. I could go on, but I want people to have their own interpretation too. It's not up to me to tell them what each song means ; )

I wrote all but one of the songs by myself. I did have a couple co-producers like Chris Conway and Ari Raskin, but for most of the songs, they were my productions as well.

Q: Who is the one person that's most influential in your life?

I have a teacher (music and otherwise), who, before I even met him, had been sculpting my songwriting for years. He is my guru, and I will do whatever he suggests or instructs me to do without hesitation, or at least give it serious consideration. I have been blessed to have his influence in person for about a year now, and it has kept me sane and on track and I am very grateful for that.

Q: Any artist in particular that you are interested in doing collaboration?

If I could work with anyone, it would be Ryan Adams. I met him once, and he listened to a bunch of my songs and really liked them. He talked to me about songwriting like we were equals, not talking down to me like some underling. It was an incredible feeling. It gave me a sense of validation, like if he liked it, I shouldn't give up cause I think he's one of the best songwriters of my generation hands down. It was one of the most flatteringly great compliments of my career. If I could write a song w him, or do a duet, not much could top that!

Q: What makes you choose a music career over other work?

Insanity.

Q: You’ve been to quite a few place and coming from Berklee it must be a fantastic musical experience. Tell us some of the most amazing journey you have while you are abroad?

All my stories from abroad are too wild for print...from the states for that matter too! hehehe I dunno! It was fun, I was probably drunk for most of the amazing stuff....

Q: Which one you prefer more, performing live or writing music in your own space?

There's something to be said for both experiences. Ideally, what my goal is now that the record is done is to integrate the experience of playing in my apt and playing on the stage. I want it to be as intimate and comfortable on stage as when I sing at home. Writing does have its reward... like if I write something I think is particularly clever, heart wrenching, or that gets to the heart of the matter eloquently and precisely, I love that feeling. It's a different release- once again- a justification for any wrongs.

Q: How would you describe your sound?

I have no idea and have been polling people for years to figure this out. NY Country Rock? I dunno.... its a blend of jazz, blues, pop, rock, folk etc.

Q: As a song writer you must played some instruments. How long have you been playing them? Is it hard?

I play the guitar, I'm OK- I mean, my rhythm is pretty good, but I am sick of my own playing. I do it really for writing purposes. I am starting guitar lessons in a few weeks to improve and go further with it. I would like to do the same for piano, but finding the time is really difficult.

Q: Now, the most important question of them all…. Guys listen. Are you single? What kind of quality you look for in a guy? HAHA!

Obedience. HA.. Jk. I want someone to be passionate. Not crazy, the guy has to be a little more stable than me. I would like him to be supportive of what I do but have his own thing going on. Someone who gives a shit about things, and maybe wants to save the world at least a little. Someone who reads, follows politics somewhat, has a good sense of humor, is kind, compassionate, and of course really friggin hot. I mean- I like dorky hot, so don't think I want some muscle man w gel in his spiky hair. Oh and someone w integrity, character, and loyalty.

Q: Last but not least. Is there anything that you'd like to tell all the readers?

Happy new year!

J: Yeah!! And Happy New Year to you all too. Have a fantastic 2009 Everyone!

Over 2009 Present to you all. A Fantastic Musician, Matt Emery. Get his Album This 19th

Matt Emery is one of the best musicians I’ve ever met. His skill on the keyboard is perfection. Yet it is not your common classic that’s boring to the teens. It is the sound of nature. It is a sound so beautiful, I can bath in it for days and have great night sleeping. Matt is the person with the touch. It is breathtaking and wonderful. Here is our interview with Matt up close and personal.
********************************************************************
Hey Matt, How’s your life lately?
Hello, life is great thanks, very busy but an enjoyable busy.
Let us get on with business right away.
Q: Let’s start with the basics. Tell us who you really are and where you’re from?
A: Well my name is Matt Emery, I’m a musician from just outside of London from a little town called Dorking which is in Surrey. I have a lot of projects, it’s pretty much a 24 hour affair at the moment as I write and score music as my day job, writing all sorts of music from soundtracks to meditation music, I also write my own solo music, and play drums and a bit of singing in a Band called Stagecoach.

Q: We love the musically heavy composition you created and you seem to play a lot of instruments. How did you get started with the whole writing and playing all the instruments?
A: I’ve played drums since I was 6, which was the first instrument I learnt. Then from 13, I started writing music on a little midi keyboard, was kind of dance type music, and I had just an ordinary computer mic, and I just sat and wrote songs every night when I got home from school. So as soon as I left school I went to a music collage called the ACM, where I studied for 3 years, receiving diplomas in Music Production and Composition, Vocals and Drums. Throughout the three years, I’d managed to buy myself a couple of guitars and a nice keyboard/piano, and just had been writing constantly and teaching myself how to play, although my techniques and styles maybe quite weird to some as I didn’t read any books or learn chords I just tuned my guitar in funny tunings, and experimented, although I now play in standard tuning, I still love just experimenting, and play the notes or progressions I want to hear rather than worry that I’m in a wrong key or theoretically doing something incorrect. If something sounds good stick with it and do what pleases your ears. My next instrument I’d love to learn is Cello.

Q: We heard that you’ll be releasing an album, “Elysian Fields” after the New Year. So how would you describe the album?
A: Yes it out on the 19th Jan. Elysian Fields itself is a metaphor for heaven in ancient Greece. All of the tracks/songs of ‘Elysian Fields’ have Ancient Greek titles, So for example ‘Aeolus’ is a Greek god of wind and there are other tracks representing love, and other gods and goddesses, and two tracks dedicated to the two ancient greek characters Icarus and Daedulus. But the sound is quite hard to describe, a lot of people have described and compared it to all sorts of different bands or styles, including Sigur Ros, Hans Zimmer’s ‘Gladiator Soundtrack’ and also some people compared it to some Radiohead stuff, which is cool, as they are all amazing and inspiring bands and musicians who I have the upmost respect for. Personally I’d say it has a classical element in places, but its not a classical album, its very ambient and atmospheric music, a lot of it focuses around the vocals, I think that’s where musically my strengths lie, and I have multi tracked my voice many time in some of the songs so I literally have a choir of Matt Emery’s singing.

Q:How do you get an idea to write a song?
A: It always starts off from a riff on my guitar or a little idea on the piano, then it evolves, I would normally write the whole song just on piano or guitar first, then I fill in or write string parts or anything else. Then drums or vocals would normally come last. The vocals are normally the most important part and they carry the main melody, and normally my favourite part of writing, as everything sounds complete with vocals, there’s nothing more satisfying than writing a catchy or killer vocal melody as that’s the bit everyone will be singing or remember….well 9 time out of 10.

Q: How is writing music and scoring for movies or shows different?
A: Well in a way a lot easier because you have a guide line something to right to or for. When you write just a song it can be anything you want, but for instance with a film if you have a scene where someone is crying, you already have your mood which is upset, you write something a little dark or minor. If you have a happy scene, you write uplifting music. Obviously its not quite as easy as that but I just love it as when you have picture or words come together with music, it just really connects with people, you try watching a film without music, it wouldn’t work, adding music has the power to reduce you to tears or put those hairs on the back of your neck, its powerful stuff.

Q: Which one you like better? Doing your own music in the studio or playing live on stage to thousands of people?
A: They’re totally different, and I couldn’t live without either, they’re like the ying and yang of music, they are both equally important and enjoyable. When things come together when recording it can be so exciting, you can just sit in the studio and listen to a twenty second bit you’ve just recorded for hours, and can be the most stressful thing at time if things don’t sound right or parts don’t fit, but I suppose it’s like cooking, when you get the right recipe and it all comes out perfectly you want everyone to taste it. But playing live is just as good if not better, performing live and seeing people sing your own words or dancing or jumping around to your music that is what its all about, just getting lost in the music up on stage is my idea of heaven, sometimes I just don’t want to come down from it, I think if your going to play live you always have to give 110% or why else do it.

Q: Who is your inspiration musically and in life?
A: This is one of the hardest questions, my favourite artists at the moment are Max Richter, Ólafur Arnalds, Armour For Sleep, and Joanna Newsom but I suppose musicians I love and look up to most are probably Björk, Thom Yorke / Radiohead, Martin Grech, and Dave Grohl. They’re just people who have the power to give you the same feelings as I described about how you feel when music and pictures/words are put together, just tugs on the heart strings, that’s all I want to do is write music that gives you that very feeling. In life, I’d have to say my parents for believing and supporting me.

Q: You have come a long way. From Playing in stages that most artist only dream of to playing in Skins, and with your talent there must be a lot more coming. Tell us some of the projects that will be coming in the future.
A: I think 2009 is going to be a good year, the band I’m in Stagecoach are recording early February and will be releasing an EP early spring, and we will also be touring around the UK and hopefully France too. I will be writing a soundtrack and setting author Louise Langley’s new book titled ‘The Aquila Chronicles’ completely to music. I also hope to release another album by the end of the year too that I’m planning on calling colours, along with hopefully doing some gigs too, hopefully with a quartet.

Q: if anyone wish to contact you for a show booking or projects who should they go to or contact?A: You could either message me at my myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/mattemerymusic or you can reach me directly at mre_music@hotmail.co.uk

Q: at Last, do you have anything you wish to say to all your fans out there?
A: Yes have a great 2009, thank you to anyone who has supported me in anyway whether coming to gigs or bought CD’s, and please purchase a copy of ‘Elysian Fields’ on the 19th Jan. Will you be getting a CD when it comes out? Haha!

Well, Matt it is a great time to start a career and a fantastic musician as you are, we love you and hope for all the best for you.

Matt & Jonathan

New Rising Star: Jimmy Robbins Exclusive Interview

Our New Year present to you all and A Happy Birthday to Jimmy, the amazing musician!!!!!

Jimmy Robbins is a young musician that’s fast and great on guitar. Not just guitar, with that adorable face, and the exceptional composition on his songs his got talent that’s far beyond any amateur. He is the real thing. The album will be out early next year and he is one artist that I can’t wait to get my hands on it. A great person with the personality that fits a great entertainer, the brightest smile that lightens up your life and the skills that bring him long way home. Young at heart and mature professional, perfect.
Hey, Jimmy how's your day? Hope they are fine.
Q: now let's us start with a simple introduction of who you are and where you're from?
I'm Jimmy Robbins from Raleigh, North Carolina

Q: how would you describe your music?
I think my music is acoustic driven pop. I write songs about what I'm feeling and hope that someone else might like to listen to them :-).

Q: you are amazing on your guitar, how long have you been playing that and do you play other instruments? What got you into playing guitar?
Thanks! I've been playing for around 10 years now I guess. I can play a lot of instruments, though I've never really learned to play any haha.

Q: We have been waiting and waiting for the day to get our hands on your CD man. Do we need to wait some more?
The new album will be in stores everywhere early 2009 :-).

Q: Where do you get your inspiration on writing music?
My songs usually come from things going on in my life or in the lives of people close to me. I usually find myself writing about things that are usually pretty big, good or bad, in our lives.

Q: Are you doing any performances during this holiday season?
I played one home show while I was at my dad's house for Christmas which was great.

Q: If anyone with to contact you for booking, who and where should they be calling?
They should contact Craig Bruck, his contact info can be found on my myspace.

Q: now which one you like the most? Writing and singing and recording a songs? Or performing live?
They're very different and I love them both in different ways. There's really no other feeling like connecting with an audience and singing your heart out to them, but there's equally no other feeling like hearing a song come back on the speakers the exact way you heard it in your head. Haha so I'd call it a tie :-).

Q: Now I'm sure most female readers will be very interested in this question. Are you still available? HAHA! What kinda girl would you be interested?
Haha, I am available. I like girls that are smart, funny and just easy to be around. Life is already very hard so I like to surround myself by people that make it easier and more fun.

Q: Anything you wish to say to all your fans out there?
Thank you guys so much for continuing to stick by me throughout what has now become "the years" :-). haha. I couldn't do it without you and every single person who's ever heard one of my songs or come to a show, you're all amazing!

At last we wish you the greatest success in your music man. You deserve every bit of it. They are fantastic.
All the best. It's been a pleasure meeting you and we hope for plenty more in the future.
