As for the supporting role Heath Ledger again take home for the Actor award with the Dark Knight which is no surprise there and estimated the late actor will take home the OSCAR too and Penelope Crus with Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
Slumdog nearly took home all of the technical award it is nominated for except losing out on Production Design to Benjamin Button, which is not surprising that most of the production for Slumdog take place in actual setting around Mumbai and Benjamin is a older time pieces that require more background creation. All together Slumdog take home 7 awards which include Sound, Editing, Music and Cinematography. Followed by Benjamin Button with 3 Technical Award including Special Visual Effects and Make Up awards. As the BAFTA ended, most of the members are pretty certain that some of the awards are going to go for in the OSCAR. We’ll see if the prediction will be the same. This is truly a big year for independence movies. With Twilight taking the top spot on Ticket sales and Slumdog Millionaire becoming the biggest Independence movie to take home almost all Best movie awards.
