With Michael Phelps missing in the Water Cube, the swimming competition may loses a little bit of it’s previous days glory but not that there’s no amazing surprises and up roar.

China finally broke the gold draught in the swimming event. Of course China has been dominating all of the Diving gold so far.

Today we’ll see if it’s another Gold and world records for Phelps which will add up by now to his record win to 6 gold. 2 more to finishing his aim to break the record of most gold won in one game, current record of most gold is 7. And in his way in the 200 Men’s Medley is his team mate Ryan Lochte. I’m sure in the spirit of sports this will be a fantastic games to watch.

Gymnastic has proven itself to be the most exciting and the hardest to achieve perfection this year. Yesterday we’ve seen the return of the China in this game of perfect strength, control and grace. China has dominated this game that have been in China’s long winning history, which they only missing on the gold medal ring for quite a while in previous couple of Olympics. I sure hope that one day I’ll see Romania return with a bang too. Well, as we all know that yesterday Gymnast seems to be a bit under the weather. This might undermine the success of the gold medal winner but almost everyone in the stadium in one of the apparatus. In first place we see the winner go away with the gold with minimal mistake and consistent performance except for high bar in the last rotation. In this rotation we see the ultimate come back of the Japanese young Athlete Uchimura, dominating the apparatus with an almost perfect and totally difficult combination of performance. Uchimura has fell from the pommel horse twice in the second rotation and lost a lot of ground to chase, yet building up the advantages, from one rotation to another he finally got to the final with a bang. We see the Chinese with the least mistake in all Apparatus, the true all-rounded Athlete begin the celebration with the roaring cheers from the crowd. Hambuchen have tried to recover from his previous mistake but couldn’t and fall from the podium contingency in the last apparatus, high bar. Yang Wei’s group seems to be the highest ranking group and been the pursue of the other groups since the beginning of the All Round Men’s final. One person that finally sneaked up on that group is the French men Benoit Caranobe that go away with the Bronze medal in the end and this will be the first medal for the French Gymnastic since 88 years ago. It’s a clear celebration at the French camp. It is a clear celebration for the medal winning team and of course disappointment of some of the great names in the games like the German, Japanese and Russian. I hope whatever that’s bothering the athlete will not continue to the coming event. All the Best guys!

One of the most interesting events to watch is the Fencing. In previous years we’d seen the domination of Italy, of the French or even the Russian and the German. But lately we are seeing the coming of the Chinese, and the new century winning team of USA. I love fencing work. The art of fighting with sword translated into sports.
One of the much left alone sport is one of my favourite too. Rowing, my learning of the game starting with a Chinese culture, the dragon boat rowing competition, then from there we understand the magnitude of the game. It’s a representation of great physical work and team work on both double and team rowing event. Of course until now we have not seen any medal awarded in this event yet which is why there’s still no talk about it but there are plenty of legend in this event. Some athletes that have gone to almost 4-5 games and came back with medal and gold. It’s a perfect representation of the games spirit of endurance and strength. We are waiting for the sailing event as well, as there are event postponed for lack of wind and visibility.
One thing for sure is the start of finally the most covered game of the games that’s the track and field games. All the running and throwing and jumping medal will start their heats and final today. So go catch it. Who will get the medal for the women’s marathon I wonder. The event is starting as I speak.
