Movies for your month this October

In view that there’s not much of a buzz on movie here this week, I’ll start off with what’s to come in this week.
The Chihuahua has blinded the Eagle Eye last week, while Eagle Eye is a worldwide champion for another week, the sales in the US have also been trumped by the Halloween Horror flick, Quarantine and the OSCAR anticipated movie Body of Lies. The Independence film golden boys, Michael Cera’s Nick and Norah’s infinite Playlist is right below Eagle ready to take over soon. Keira Knightley new shot at period movie The Duchess is dangerously getting out of the top 10 and the futuristic saga of the City of Ember is closing the top 10 this week.
Ticket sales aside, It’s a great month to be excited in America as Max Pane is gonna open this week and next week will be the mega popular HSM3 and we’ll expect a total spike of the sales to a volcanic proportion at the end of the week.

OK, I know when the economy is going to gloomy, a little bit of comedy is the remedy. Drew Barrymore lending her voice to one of the K9 doesn’t hurt either. HAHA! It is really a funny light comedy. You’ll all like it amid all the horror movies for the Halloween season, this is one trip/trick you want to take on. there’s no reason why not have some laughter and inject some happiness in your life with a talking K9 running around causing havoc everywhere.
If you are not at all up for any laugh, and want to make this holiday another those horror saga tradition. Quarantine is the best way to go. Remember Blair Witch, Cloverfield, Land of the Dead or I am Legend. Think of this one as the combination of all 4 movies into one package and then trapped everyone in one building. Then you’ll get the shock of your life out of it. It won’t disappoint I assure you. As long as you don’t give yourself heart attack expecting the monster to attack every second of the movie.

Of course if you are into a light hearted love story, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist is still a favourite not to miss. In fact this one is in my never to be missed movie list right from the first week. It’s such a fresh movie to have 2 great young actors acting it out in the most intriguing back drop. It reminded me of the old New York story, 2 person met in the big city accompanied by endless love melody throughout the 2 hours.

Then again, for those period affectionist, The Duchess is no disappointment either. (God! how I hope that the cinema here have better agent!!! HAHA!) IT’s a great story as any the Keira have chosen to act in. A girl trying to be the Aristocrat that she is. How she get her life through all the thick and thin of the 18th century and the scandal and suspense and the turbulence of a love triangle with her husband and the mistress.

We the movie buff will not be satisfied without a possible Oscar contender in the fall. And Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio collaboration and eccentric element in one film is enough of a Oscar quality dose to this piece. Body of Lies there’s no doubt there’s enough to go on this story, so full, star power checked, story line checked, Complexity checked, duel of 2 great actor checked, politics and important issue checked, Epic proportion checked. It is totally fix for the Award season.

Well, for the movie that’s not in theatre yet, Max Payne will be a great way to start off this weekend. The saga of a evil fighter? So is it the evil doing or just a coincident? Mark Wahlberg back to another explosive role. This time he’s even better than a cop or secret agent. A role out of graphic novel, he can basically do whatever he wants. Jump and shoot at the same time? Broken glasses and building blown up everywhere.

And then the much anticipated movie of the year, a totally break through from the stereotype. The original movie that’s made for TV and now for the first time able to make it into the movie screen and make a huge huge wave across the globe. You’ve never seen this kinda buzz since the Titanic sank again in New York. It is crazy all around. And no wonder the kid can be instance millionaire just by taking again to the role. Yet, it’s about time that the HSM gang grow out of their high school sweetheart image after this. Leading by Zac Efron, (simply because he is the one that’s getting all the role offer) Footloose if follow the old script will have a lot of adult attitude and the only similarity will be the dancing.
