There are many people that actually have never watched a Broadway or musical Theatre.
You can always know who they are. Some of them say they dun understand it when they watch CATS for the first time.
The first time I ever realise that there is such thing as musical theatre or Broadway is when I watch the musical movie of “Sound of Music”.
Somehow the Christmas is always not less of musical.
Then comes CATS, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Les Miserable. Only then I realise that there are other art forms as Opera and drama theatre like Shakespeare.
But Musical theatre or Broadway always gives me that one sparks. It always lights up my day. To find a person have to deliver a line in live audience is hard enough. to sing in tune, dance elegantly, and still express what’s the songs and story was suppose to express is even more challenging and yet I fine all the element fuse together perfectly and simply deliver the beautiful art form to the finest.
You may know how to sing but you may not be able to act, then you may be able to sing yet can’t express with your facial expression or body gesture. So I find the musical theatre is the ultimate and most close to heart art.
And this art form simply portray plenty of interesting character, from housewives, to cowboys, to Jesus, to kings and jester, from soldier to the innocent, Fat, Thin, Young, Old, beauty to hideous. It’s even more tolerable than movies. And emotion simply seeps to your heart with every note the actor and actresses sings.
So then there’s Oliver Twist, Oklahoma, Follies, My Fair Lady, Little Shop of Terror. All of it is so colorful and lively. You just can’t resist them.

If you are looking for a crash course on musical theatre or Broadway, I have a couple of DVDs that I can recommend for you to enjoy, the first is Cameron Mackintosh’s Hey Mr Producer: The Royal Gala Performance for Queen Elizabeth of England, the next is Sir. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Celebration in The Royal Albert Hall. Both DVDs have great collections of the most complete great musical theatre in the world. All the best Broadway you can feast your eyes on, you’ll get the best snippet of each show some even have been interwoven into each scene.
So if you are interested in an art form that I think should be enjoy by everyone young or old, rich or poor. This is what makes me feel that a poor boy living in a country side like me could have the inspiration and understand the enjoyment of art, and got me started to appreciate, poetry and literature. And know that there’s a far greater and better world out there than what I have seen and heard in that little short 1st 10 years of my life. For sure if people are inspired to we will continue to create more great arts. So I hope that you’d all enjoy these DVDs and be inspire and know that there is this great art that people thinks that (strangely they still think like they did 1000 years ago) only rich royal can afford. What they have not realise that the person that created these shows and presented them to the royals are all ordinary people like us and no one of them are filthy rich. So why anyone should think these arts are to be enjoy by rich and famous? So go save some money and enjoy it.

Talking about DVDs I was searching through my collection and fine Devil Wears Prada.
I love he movie. Not because they have the best fashion or a few comedic moment. Not that I’m against any of it. But there is a bigger picture in the movie that I feel is much more meaningful and universal to everyone.
Most of the time, when we are working hard, when we get angry or fear, we lose ourselves in the midst of the chaos and we change into conforming to our surrounding and sometimes becomes what we actually would not want to become. Life just have it’s way. And when we dun realise it or when we are weaker at hearts it sneak up on us. Maybe this is what davil really are. They are all in us. Jesus and Judas.it’s just that how well we actually allow ourselves to not care about ourselves and let things happen and when we should take the initiative to handle and be concious about what we do in our daily lives and how to actually treat ourselves and allow ourselves to be treat. Realising the truth and changes on us and what we are becoming.
Which is I hope that everyone I know does go through life actually knowing what they are doing, experience it, act on it. If it is failure, get angry about it and the let go and continue living a great life. Success does not have to be money, does not have to be about how many friends we are, not at all about any of the material in the world including our friends opinion. But it is about how we view ourselves, Change our attitute and live our lives, feel our own heart beat. It is after all our lives. Only we know what we really want and needed. So whatever what everyone else says or do or say we should do, that is not who, what or how we are. We are who we are as how we know we are. So I hope all my friends will know it and truly live a great and concious life. Peace.
