I was watching Mr. Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert.
For those of you that don’t know who he is. Yes, there are people who don’t know who this great amazing person is. Not only youngster.
He is the former president of South Africa, who before that is the person who had lived in imprisonment for 27 just because he is black. Literally, for the reason of being black. It’s the era of aparthied when the white people rule South Africa and all Black people are segregated into quarters and section in everything and places in Africa. They are not allow in restaurant, not allow to use the better toilet, their water supply is bad. All of it. And whoever crosses the line is punished.
But the most amazing thing about this person. This great person that’s supposed to be living in a poor country. Did not revenged or rebel when he is imprisoned or after he is released. He continues to treat all people as equal and started building a great country as the president with the same passion and patience. Now that is patriotism to the highest and greatest dignity a gentleman could ever possess.
Throughout my short life I have seen the most amazing event in the history of mankind. There’s the breaking down of the Berlin wall. The unity of a nation and the broken down of the wall which symbolizes the existence of the Nazi and what they have used a great idea, Communism and manipulated it into cruelty.
Yes, Communism has been shaded by a cruel past and portray as the blockage of progress, and as well as plague by corruption. But it is one great idea, we are all equal, and all fortune and possession is shared among all the people. A Beautiful Ideal yet as always the execution of it is much harder and more complex when it comes to human touches. Yet, in this modern day of ours I still feel that we can do it. Not Communism, but equality. Just look around yourself, see the people you love. If you have a single strain of love for all of them, try to hold that feeling in your heart and let it expand. Don’t let fear shrink you, don’t let fear stop you. Start loving, from the people beside you, from your family, feel the love over flow and start loving this world for it is yours and yours truly. So start loving and start spreading it. For all of us are born equal and we deserve to be loved as anyway we want to be or once wish to be. So let go of all the rage and hunger and start fill yourself with love, and let it overflow and spread them, pay it forward.
Aside from this concert, there is one reason why I love such music and concert. Over 10-12 years ago. There’s one concert called Live Aid, that is the time when I started knowing some of the most amazing woman in the world like Oprah and Princess Diana, aside from my mom that is, and learned about such dramatic event like world wars, Vietnam war. To have united the world in one event where all the people in the world can just join in the effort of spreading and expressing one message. Whether it’s Poverty, Hunger, AIDS or cancer, I think the idea of people join in the celebration of Life in one big parade is terrific.
Well, Talking about my mom. I maybe bias but for a woman who’d loved a man as deeply as my mom has been, raise me and my brother single handed, with the thin salary of less than 1000 bucks a month, still able to teaches us all the great value a person should have and help me got through my confusing hard times. She will be forever the greatest woman in the world, My world. Oh! All of you who think love is something different, my mom has been a widow for over 20 years and have never once thought about remarried, that’s eternal love. Though some of you may think that’s stupid. But the devotion is incomparable. And of course I don’t deny that there are men who took advantage of such event. So my advice, keep your bank account, keep your job. It’s not about competition, that might be something great to play around. But life is not that serious. Love is. Not money. We all have it, we all can get it ourselves. You just gotta realise it and be strong about it. But love and devotion, that you can only wait for it to find you. Though I might not approve of it but it is her choice and I feel that this is an amazing thing. Of course It’d be hard to top that, and I don’t deny there are bad times. But you get through it and be strong. No pressure ladies. I love being around great people. But I do think that ladies, you gotta step it up a bit. Not the stupidly follow the guy part, but be strong for you child and your man. Be a happy individual, be a person who knows what’s best for herself and her man. And know when to be there for him. Men don’t say it but they are the same animal too. Just that they don’t say it out loud when they have bad times. You just gotta whip it out of them HAHA! I just want to say that we can be strong without the money or the nagging and the manipulation. Just treat yourself and everyone around you with respect and make sure you got your dignity in check and not your egoistic pride. Then everyone will have a far far greater life to live. Start changing yourself and the world now. One life at a time. Start with yours.
