Madagascar 2 and Quarantine

Madagascar 2 is as what everyone expected and it deliver. Just like Ice Age. The animal this time continue to go on with their life. This time the ninja and all rounded penguin got the gang up on plans but….. drop short of the trip back to New York and landed in Africa. Plenty comedy, plenty of adventures that could get all kids and adults laughing the whole way through. Pretty good for an animation really. The Giraffe Melman confesses his love for the Hippo Gloria, Alex the Lion met his father and became the king of the jungle for real, and Marty the Zebra met his own kind and become one with the heard. Only too similar to be recognize and got into a fight with Ales, the friendship thing work out in the end.

Quarantine, Asian audience finally got their own doses of the thriller. it's not for the kid nad for any faint hearted one. The Blair Witch- Cloverfield- Living Dead-esque horror is totally in its prime. This horror will top as my most amazing movie of the year. The camera is more focus. The running the fighting is amazingly tight and fast pace. The beginning may felt a bit slow but it gear the audiences into the mood. Jennifer Carpenter gave a great performance as the interviewer. A bit of surprise is that how many great actor and actresses is in this movie. Jay Hernandez of Crazy/Beautiful, World Trade Center and Ladder 49, (he’s been doing tragic disaster movie for so many years now, I hope there’d be more Crazy/ Beautiful type movie for him.) and Columbus Short of Stomp the Yard. Steve Harris of The Practice as the camera man only heard from voice over most of the time. As the movie move from a documentary to the turn around, lock up…. As the body count continue to rise, people keep dying, in the end to make for the run, left with 3 it’s more like playing the video game of bio- hazard. So it got it all. The Game agenda, the documentary like atmosphere, the horror, the live action, first person participant theme, it’s the complete cycle of all the disaster and horror genre. Love the movie. May not be the best movie of the year but it’s a one hell of evolution.
